Kristie Leigh Maguire

Kristie Leigh Maguire has decided to retire from the world of writing. Quoting her, "It's been a fun run but it's time to hang it up." She has pulled all of her titles except for No Lady and Her Tramp which can be downloaded for free from Amazon and Smashwords.

Kristie Leigh Maguire has chosen to follow the 'road less traveled' in her writing career. She is quoted as saying, "I am an Independent Author and proud of it. I have never been accused of being like everyone else. I guess you could say that I am a true child of the sixties - doing things my way, and just a bit of a rebel at heart. I feel that Joe Blow Public has sense enough to know what they want to read without being held by the hand and led down the garden path. And if Joe Blow Public decides that they don't like my books that I put out in the world, then so be it. That is their choice. At least I had the guts to put them out there - my way."

She's smart, she's sassy, she has a pen that drips sizzling ink. If you like steamy stories or the Happily Ever After kind, then this is a name that belongs on your bookshelf." Emjae Edwards (Ink n Beans)

"Kristie has a way of opening your mind. You become part of her creation. She writes in such a way that you want to follow her every word – that is the sign of a true storyteller." Patti Fleishman (Romance Junkies)

Kristie Leigh Maguire says, "Like Barbara Mandrell who was country before country was cool, I was an Indie Author before independent publishing was cool. I didn't want the 'traditional publishing house gods' telling me what to write or how to write it so it would fit into their formula. I like doing things my way."

Kristie Leigh Maguire is an award-winning, multi-published author. Her current titles are Second Chances, Affairs of the Heart: Desert Heat and Cabin Fever, Desert Heat, Cabin Fever, and co-author of No Lady and Her Tramp.

The Affaire de Coeur Magazine named Kristie as Best Up and Coming Romance Author of the Year and her book Desert Heat as Romance of the Year in 2004. Her novels Cabin Fever and No Lady and Her Tramp placed in the Top Ten in the Preditor & Editor’s Poll in 2005.

Kristie Leigh Maguire and her husband have lived all over the United States and many foreign countries while following his career. While living in Japan, she found it very difficult to find books to read that were written in English. This situation was intolerable as she was an avid reader and had been known to resort to reading cereal boxes if nothing else was available. Have you ever tried to read a cereal box written in Japanese? It was not a pretty picture. Ms. Maguire began writing her own books just to have something to read. She discovered a new passion in writing.

Although Kristie Leigh Maguire is originally from the South and will always remain Southern at heart, she and her husband now live in Arizona. During her expatriate years she lived in St. Croix, Aruba, Thailand, Japan and three times in Saudi Arabia and visited many other countries.
